We work on a limited number of projects at a time, allowing María José our design director to remain intimately involved in the creative direction of each commission. Our interiors team—led by head of interior design Stephanie Arroyo—ensures meticulous execution from initial concept through to completion.

Delivery Areas

We deliver throughout Costa Rica's Greater Metropolitan Area (GAM) including San José, Escazú, Santa Ana, Heredia, Alajuela, and Cartago. Extended delivery is available to Guanacaste, the Pacific and Caribbean coasts, and other regions nationwide—contact us for details.

Production & Shipping Times

Most furniture pieces are made to order by Costa Rican artisans. Standard production and delivery takes 6-8 weeks from order confirmation. We'll keep you updated throughout the process.

Pickup Option

Prefer to pick up your order? Pieces can be collected from our dispatch warehouse in Escazú at no additional charge once production is complete.

Delivery Service

Delivery costs are calculated based on your location and order size—you'll see the exact cost before finalizing your purchase. White-glove service (unpacking, assembly, placement, and packaging removal) is complimentary for pieces requiring assembly. Freestanding pieces are delivered and placed in your space.

International Shipping

Returns & Conditions

Our Commitment

Each piece from Laurel Depto. de Diseño is handcrafted by skilled Costa Rican artisans using premium materials. We stand behind the quality of our work and want you to love your furniture.

Return Policy

Custom and made-to-order pieces (which represent most of our collection) are non-returnable due to their bespoke nature. However, if your piece arrives damaged or with manufacturing defects, we'll make it right.

Damaged or Defective Items

Please inspect your furniture upon delivery. If you notice any damage or defects, contact us within 48 hours at contact@la-urel.com. We'll arrange for repair, replacement, or refund as appropriate.

Cancellations

Orders can be cancelled within 24 hours of placement for a full refund. After production begins, cancellations may incur a 25% restocking fee to cover materials and labor costs.

Quality Guarantee

All our furniture comes with a 1-year warranty against manufacturing defects. Natural variations in wood grain, color, and texture are inherent to handcrafted pieces and are not considered defects.
